Pro wrestling icon Dennis “Loverboy” Condrey has died at the age of 74, the news was shared Friday by fellow wrestler Dax Harwood. Harwood posted an emotional tribute on Instagram and confirmed arrangements are being made to support Condrey’s family.

Career and legacy
Condrey rose to prominence in the late 1970s and 1980s and is best known as one-half of the legendary tag team The Midnight Express alongside Bobby Eaton. He officially retired from wrestling in 2011. Condrey’s work in tag team wrestling remains widely cited by peers and fans.
Tributes and family support
Harwood took to Instagram with an emotional tribute, calling Condrey “a true Pioneer of Professional Wrestling.” Harwood wrote that the two would text after every match and that Condrey would offer honest feedback — a practice Harwood said will “never be lost” on him.
Harwood also said that Condrey’s wife gave him permission to set up a GoFundMe to help cover funeral costs and outstanding bills; the campaign was shared in his post: GoFundMe.
